Today I followed up on a piece of furniture I found posted on Craigslist. I’m not proud. Craiglist is the ultimate in recycling and keepin’ it green. THIS posting took me to a great antique/new-to-you /resale/consignment store in Sellwood.

Let me first qualify by saying as much as I love fabric (there’s a name for girls like me), I think every room needs a chandelier. Sometimes modern rules, contemporary, eclectic, whatever. This place had the GLAM. Old-world, traditional, lots of crystals. The centerpiece of the room in fact was a chandelier the Phantom would be happy to swing from.
In addition, the owner, Justin, has a shop full of an eclectic mix of new and old and somewhere in between. It’s at the OTHER end of Sellwood…turn RIGHT off Tacoma instead of left…head about three blocks down and it’s on your right. Here’s a few pics from today’s field trip.
The display case by the desk has some vintage costume jewelry. While you’re enjoying the eclectic mix on the main floor, don’t miss out on the basement with an assorted pile of oddball treasures. There is even some great garden glitz!
