In full disclosure, I’m out of town for Mother’s Day with my Oregon kiddos and new grandbaby. However, in my absense, projects are moving forward.
Drapery Decision
Last week I was vaccilating on the drapery fabric but at the last minute I pulled the trigger and proceeded with my original choice. It’s just so perfect! And while I may still use it in my client’s space as she loves it, her master bedroom will have a lot more windows so it will look significantly different. We also had a good meeting last week and selected an alternate look – THAT will be updated on Instagram later :).
Anyway, the draperies are underway.
The Headboard.
The custom headboard has been completed for a bit but was delivered to the warehouse finally. It looks SO GOOD. Can’t wait to see it in place. And there was enough of the fabric left that I’m using it for chairs in the hubs office! That will be a different posting which I’ll link when complete.
But we used two different fabrics – both soft chenilles. In keeping with a masculine/feminine theme, the headboard fabric is our “masculine” vibe with it’s geometric pattern in a neutral tone. I think it’s the perfect balance to the floral drapery fabric. The second fabric is an upholstery velvet with a great strie’ pattern. Can’t want to get this installed!
The Robes.
Did I mention I ordered gorgeouse guest robes from Peacock Alley? I’ve always had plush white spa robes in the guest room and they really do get used! Since Peacock Alley is sponsoring the bedding, I figured I would splurge on these custom monogramed robes in their Jubilee Robes. I did the monograms in Taupe and Pink. Pretty :).
So the stuff I cannot execute myself is either done or almost done…all that’s left is the stuff I NEED to do. A little wallpaper, cleaning up my “found” nightstands, updating the secretary and styling the space. See you then!
Join the fun and follow along all the participants in this season’s event! This is the tenth year of this popular event that gets hundreds of guest participants twice a year. Check it out!
