I’ve been sporatically blogging because ‘the experts’ say I should. So me being me, I went on a quest to find a better way to blog. I checked out a bunch of books from the library (and bought a couple from Amazon…sorry sweetie). And you know what??? I’m over thinking it. Soooo….new tack on the blog. A new direction. A new focus. The REST of my website can be professional and polished an appropriate. My blog? It’s going to be the stuff I want to share. I do have a cache of articles to share and I’ll drop those intermittently, but the other stuff? It’s a web log.
So what do I want to share about design today???
Today, I spent the morning with a colleague. We were supposed to be chatting about our businesses. I was supposed to extol the virtues of interior design and she was supposed to share her professional take on marketing. Instead? We talked about life, love, children and the apartment she’s renting in Paris over the summer (so jealous, B!). It made me come and spend a few moment scrolling through the pictures from our trip a couple of years ago. (Paris Pics have inspired new blog article!).
Came home and prepped selected fabrics and wallpaper for a client appointment and did a rendering (digital drawing) of decorative window treatments for a current project I’m working. THIS project by the way? Very cool. A job training facility for adults with disabilities. Very cool. AWESOME staff!! So caring, so involved. So grateful to be involved.
Tomorrow? Barbara, I hope you LOVE the wallpaper I selected for you bedroom. I’M excited, at any rate.
Finally?? If you get my newsletter, you know I’m living in a white house. Not the outside…the inside! VERY white. Found the most fantastic wallpaper that is going to go in the family room…. Right now I have this awful fireplace in our family room. A sheetroc mantel with round corners and NOT symmetrical. Who does that, right???? Here’s the rendering of the project on the honey-do list! As soon as honey does? Wallpaper goes up!!
Here’s the proposed work for the sweetie….
and here’s the render with some wall paper locales. Thoughts???
(designers struggle with their own stuff. Yours? Easy! Mine? NOT)
Until the next time I share my ramblings,
Pam
