Follow along as we catalog the journey from preserved history to a new family’s home!
I never got the chance to meet Mike personally but after spending time updating his home, we all feel like we know him well, regardless. This little house located out in the Los Angeles suburb of Arleta was recently “loaned” to us for a few weeks to get it ready to sell.
We brought in some pros we know and trust. We made a plan of action that included:
- Repairing dry rot
- Replacing a few doors
- Replacing and repairing flooring
- New paint through out
- LOTS of yardwork including removal of trees that had taken over the property
- A complete decluttering of the property
- And of course a thorough staging and decorating of the home with vintage touches and of course some of Mike’s memorabilia.
This is how we found it!

A little paint goes a long way! Look what some paint and removal of dated fixtures can do! Some clever solutions in the bathroom. Recreating this space into a sunporch and laundry. Some new but appropriate hardware.
