In 2009, the Home Builder’s Association of Portland, took their Street of Dreams out of the ‘burbs and into the city. The goal was to feature the unique downtown development of the newly established Pearl District. In the ten years since, this area of town has truly become THE place for city living in Portland, Oregon.
This project was done in conjunction with two very talented Interior Designers. Angela Todd as our lead and Julie Hranicka. We worked together on all the spaces, but I feel the most connected to this master suite. For whatever reason, it reminded me of my grandmother’s home in Palm Desert, Ca. (weird, I know!). It was probably the the hyper tall ceilings and boxed feel of it, but I simply loved it. I have a full blog article written on this which I’ll attach here when I find it 🙂 but I have the original renderings I did for the space including a few of the initial selections! As designers, we “see” project complete from the beginning and renderings help us to share our thoughts visually.
Can’t believe it’s been ten years since we put in all the hours and sweat equity into this job. With the skills of our phenomenal painter and the support of a strong design community, this project came off so well. The master bedroom even took top honors! Enjoy.
